As part of the Baku Climate Action Week, an international conference was held at the Stone Chronicle Museum dedicated to the results of the Advancing Global Methane Reduction (AGMR) initiative.
Report informs citing the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) that the event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, international oil and gas companies such as SOCAR, BP, Petronas, service providers Baker Hughes and SLB, representatives of the World Bank, Environmental Defense Fund, Imperial College London, Clean Air Task Force, Methane Guiding Principles (MGP), Oil and Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI), GHGSat, and SeekOps.
Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Umayra Tagiyeva, SOCAR Vice President Afghan Isayev, and BP Vice President Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli spoke at the conference.
The conference continued with panel sessions.
