The Kazakh and Russian leaders, during the talks in the Kremlin, discussed creating a "tripartite gas union" between Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the spokesperson of the President of Kazakhstan, Ruslan Zheldibay Sultanuly, said, Report informs via Kazakh media.
According to him, the goal of the union is to coordinate actions during the transportation of Russian gas through the territories of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
"Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Vladimir Putin believe that it is necessary to conduct detailed negotiations with the participation of experts from the three countries in order to find a rational solution to this issue, taking into account all interested parties," he noted.
