Parviz Shahbazov: Electricity produced from offshore wind energy will be exported to Europe

It is planned to export a certain part of the electricity to be produced in Azerbaijan at the expense of renewable energy sources, especially the large powers that will be created on offshore wind energy, to Europe, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said when he received Hungarian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Tamas Torman, Report informs.

The meeting emphasized that energy cooperation is an important part of the relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary. Opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor were discussed.

The minister informed about the favorable investment environment in the field of "green energy" in Azerbaijan and the works carried out on the implementation of large-scale projects with the attraction of foreign investments.

The ambassador expressed his country's interest in active cooperation in the field of both traditional and renewable energy, as well as the participation of Hungarian companies in the restoration of territories liberated from occupation and transformation into a "green energy zone".
