Pakistan, Azerbaijan to sign historic gas deal

Pakistan and Azerbaijan will sign a historic agreement on liquefied natural gas (LNG) on July 24, the Pakistani Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Malik said in Karachi, Report informs via Pakistani media.

According to him, Pakistan will buy liquefied gas from Azerbaijan on a monthly basis. The minister added that 12 LNG tankers will be purchased from the Azerbaijani side.

Earlier, the Pakistani minister said that the agreement with Azerbaijan would help eliminate the problem of gas shortages in the country during the winter season.
