Oil prices slow down after recent growth

Global oil prices slowed down on February 25 morning after hitting record highs since 2014 on the previous trading day, Report informs.

The price of April futures for Brent crude rose by 4.6% to $101.31 per barrel, May futures for Brent rose in price by 2.32% to $97.63 per barrel. April WTI futures rose 2.14% to $94.81 per barrel.

During the auction on February 24, oil prices rose by 9%. As a result, the cost of Brent crude for delivery in April exceeded $105 per barrel, and WTI surged to $100. For both brands, this is a record since 2014.
