Nikolay Denkov: Lukoil's refinery cannot be effectively managed if it becomes state property

Russian Lukoil's Lukoil Neftoxim Burgas plant cannot be effectively managed if it is transferred from private management to state ownership, so it would be beneficial to arrange a sale of the oil refinery, Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said, Report informs, citing the Bulgarian press.

The prime minister is worried about possible interruptions in the supply of fuel to the domestic market if the refinery is handed over to the state. Because the pant will need a supply of oil regularly.

According to Denkov, officials lack experience in managing large enterprises such as the oil refinery in Burgas, as well as Lukoil's other assets in the country. For this reason, it would be better to implement a transition period to organize the sale of the oil refinery and monitor the condition of the plant.
