Natural gas prices in Europe down

On Wednesday morning, gas futures fell 8% to less than $1,000 per 1,000 cubic meters on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange, Report informs, citing the ICE Futures platform.

July futures for the TTF index, Europe's largest virtual trading platform, started trading below $973.6. The highest price was recorded on Wednesday ($ 984.6), then the prices fell to $957 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Gas prices in Europe have risen sharply since the start of hostilities in Ukraine: on February 23, the futures price was $1,038.6 per 1,000 cubic meters, on February 24, the price of "blue fuel" increased by almost 50% to $1,555.5.
