Natural gas price hits three-month high in Europe

The spot price of gas has risen, breaking a three-month record, in Europe amid severe weather forecasts and the refusal of expectations that Russian gas supplies through Ukraine will increase in May.

The price of gas at the Dutch TTF gas junction on Wednesday rose to $ 272 per thousand cubic meters, the highest level since January 24.

In Europe, there is a significant shortage of gas to be pumped into underground storage facilities. The TTF reports show that speculation about Russian gas supplies through Ukraine is affecting the prices in Europe.
