Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spinu, gave an exclusive interview to Report.
-What can you say about the possibility of developing joint projects related to importing Azerbaijani oil products to Moldova?
-We see Azerbaijan as a strategic partner in diversifying our energy resources. Work has been going on for a long time towards concluding long-term contracts on gas and electricity supply between our countries.
-Will the possibility of importing natural gas from Azerbaijan be discussed during your visit?
-Yes, we have already stated that the Republic of Moldova is interested in signing an agreement on gas supply from Azerbaijan. Details of a possible deal are currently being worked out. We will inform you when there are results.
-What are the prospects for the development of Moldovan-Azerbaijani relations?
-Although energy is the most crucial issue on the agenda of Moldova-Azerbaijani relations, we also see serious interest and prospects in agriculture. We consider these two areas a priority. However, we also hold discussions on various fields of activity, such as culture, tourism, transport, and logistics.
-What opportunities are there in the joint implementation of investment projects?
-By the way, tomorrow, a business forum will be held with the participation of Azerbaijani and Moldovan business people. Possible joint projects will be discussed during the event.
