Minister: Energy cooperation between Baku and Bucharest acquiring pan-European scale

The energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Romania is diversifying and acquiring a pan-European scale, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said at a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Romania, according to Report.

"The trade turnover between the two countries increased by 48% and amounted to $526 million during 9 months of 2023. Crude oil and petroleum products account for 56.5% of the trade turnover. Azerbaijan exports crude oil to Romania. Expanding activities of the State Oil Company (SOCAR) in Romania, 74 gas stations and several fuel depots in 28 regions, indicate the presence of mutually beneficial energy ties between our countries," he said.
