Miller: Russia and Turkiye have started practical implementation of gas hub project

Moscow and Ankara have already begun to work on the implementation of the project to create a gas hub in Turkiye, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said during a conference call, Report informs via Russian media.

"Now we with Turkiye have launched work on a gas hub project. This decision was made at the level of the leaders of the two states, and we have already begun its practical implementation," he said.

The gas hub will ensure transparent and fair pricing in the natural gas market, Miller emphasized.

It should be noted that on October 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed creating a gas hub in Turkiye, through which the lost volume of transit through the Nord Streams can be redirected. Further, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the Trakya region in northwestern Turkiye will turn into an energy hub international importance.
