Kazakhstan is set to play an increasingly crucial role in the energy landscape of Central Asia, as it prepares to significantly increase the transit of Turkmen and Uzbek natural gas to China in the current year. The planned volume is expected to reach an impressive 37.1 billion cubic meters.
According to Report, which cites Kazakhstan's Minister of Energy, Almasadam Satkaliyev, this figure represents a notable increase of 1.5 billion cubic meters compared to the previous year.
The transportation of Uzbek and Turkmen gas to China is carried out through the "Kazakhstan-China" pipeline.
