Kazakhstan plans to commission two large gas fields in 2027

Kazakhstan National Company Kazmunaygaz plans to put into operation the West Prorva and Kalamkas deposit in 2027, the press service of KazMUNAIGAZ said, Report informs via Silkway News.

“In 2027, Kazmunaygaz intends to put the Western Proterva and Palacas deposits. Gas is expected to extract 1.1 billion cubic meters per year. Promising exploration projects are being worked out with international companies as a whole, as well as projects for the current reconnaissance of existing deposits,” the statement said.

In the next three to four years, Kazmunaygaz plans to start the prey at the Central Urichtau deposit, which is about 1 billion cubic meters of gas per year,” the message says.

In addition, Kazmunaygaz is developing a gas strategy, within the framework of which it plans to increase the production of natural gas to 6.7 billion cubic meters a year by 2030, excluding large projects such as Tengiz, Karachaganak and Kashagan.
