Jennifer Morgan: Baku needs more specific messages on renewable energy

More specific messages regarding renewable energy should be announced during the global COP29 conference in Baku, Jennifer Morgan, state secretary and special envoy for international climate action of the German Foreign Ministry, said during the ministerial dialogue at COP29, Report informs.

She noted that it is necessary to address the issue of accelerating the transition to renewable energy sources.

"Infrastructure for energy storage and improvement of energy networks should be enhanced, and attention should be paid to the workforce in the green energy sector. The agenda should include decarbonization of the energy sector and phasing out coal to achieve the 1.5°C temperature target," she said.
