Japan in talks with US over banning Russian oil imports

The Japanese government is in discussions with the United States and European countries over the possibility of banning imports of Russian oil, Report informs, citing Reuters.

Russian oil currently makes around 4% of supplies to Japan.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken earlier said that Washington was discussing the possibility of banning oil imports from Russia with European partners.
