Italy imported 1.275 million tons of oil from Azerbaijan in January-February 2025, which is 5.5% less than in the same period last year, Report informs referring to the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security.
During the reporting period, 477,263 tons of Azeri Blend oil (a decrease of 1.8 times) and 798,591 tons of Azeri Light oil (an increase of 1.6 times) were supplied from Azerbaijan.
Azeri Blend oil was purchased by Italy at $75.52 per barrel (in January-February 2024 at $88.6 per barrel), Azeri Light at $83.58 per barrel ($90.04).
Azerbaijan accounted for 13.9% of Italy's total oil imports in January-February 2025. Italy reportedly imported 9.3 million tons of oil from Azerbaijan in 2024 (down 17.7%).
Azerbaijan accounted for 16.4% of Italy's total oil imports last year.
