Ilham Aliyev was informed about this at the opening of a new 110/35/10 kilovolt substation Buzovna-1, built in the Khazar district of Baku.

It was noted that, for the first time, a protected and insulated cable line, a model of a modern distribution network, were used to provide power supply to the city of Shusha and the village of Sugovushan. In general, during the supply of electricity to the territories liberated from the occupation, innovative technologies are successfully applied.

To increase the technical and economic efficiency of protected and insulated cable lines of a modern type, it is envisaged to use protected cables equipped with a new fiber-optic channel. In this way, it becomes possible to transmit both electricity and a high-quality Internet network. There is no need to establish additional infrastructure for the creation of a high-speed Internet network, which is important in the implementation of the Smart City and Smart Village projects, and the indicators of economic efficiency are increased. On the other hand, each subscriber, through one cable line, will have access to both electricity and via a stable and high-speed optical channel - to communication lines and the Internet.
