In May, Russia reduced the volume of gas supplies to Turkey by 62% in annual terms, yielding second place to Qatar in terms of supplies.
Report informs citing the RIA Novosti, this is stated in the report of the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
In May, gas supplies from Russia to Turkey fell again in annual terms - by 62% to 340 million cubic meters. Every month, volumes were down 38%. At the same time, Qatar's deliveries have significantly increased: in annual terms, four times, in monthly terms - twice.
Thus, Qatar displaced Russia from second place in terms of gas supplies to Turkey, sending 520 million cubic meters to the country.
As noted in the report, Azerbaijan retained the largest share of gas supplies to Turkey, with 14.5% more imports compared to the last year, or 882 million cubic meters.
The share of Russia in the Turkish market in May decreased to 12.74% against 17.86% in April. 33% of supplies accounted for Azerbaijan, while 19.5% for Qatar.
