The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) is interested in the energy projects to be implemented in Azerbaijan, particularly in the liberated territories, as well as the Green Energy Corridor project that will connect Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary, said Muhammad Al Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, who is on a visit to our country, at the meeting with Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, Report informs.
Al Jasser informed about the Bank's infrastructure projects, technical support, financial assistance, and the work done in the development of the private sector.
Minister Shahbazov spoke about the fruitful cooperation between the Islamic Development Bank and Azerbaijan and emphasized the Bank's support for energy projects. Information was provided on the reforms carried out in the field of energy in Azerbaijan, the prospects for the production and export of large volumes of green energy, including green hydrogen, and the work done in the field of energy efficiency and energy regulation. It was noted that there are vast opportunities for cooperation with the Bank on mega-projects to be implemented in the direction of renewable energy production and transmission in Azerbaijan.
