Ibrahim Oztop: Türkiye - role model for developing countries in green energy

Türkiye's investments in alternative energy sources are attracting international interest, Ibrahim Oztop, CEO of Türkiye's Development and Investment Bank, said during COP29 in Baku, Report informs referring to Haber Global.

He also spoke about the country's success in green energy.

"Türkiye is an example for developing countries, and international banks view it as a role model," Oztop noted. He emphasized that COP29 serves as an important platform for discussing environmental economics, bringing together experts and officials from around the world.

The director explained that Türkiye's Development and Investment Bank is actively seeking funding sources from international organizations such as the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

He noted that meetings with foreign officials demonstrate great interest in the country's green transformation process. Oztop also added that the bank recently participated in recent meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.

Furthermore, the head of the financial institution emphasized the significance of Türkiye's macroeconomic progress and its leading role in green energy.
