Hungary inks MoU with Russia's Gazprom on possible increase in gas supplies

Gazprom and Hungary have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the possibility of increasing gas supplies from Russia to Hungary, Report informs.

The Russian company announced the signing following a meeting between its head Alexey Miller and the Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister of Hungary Peter Szijjarto at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

"The parties discussed issues of gas supply and prospects for developing cooperation in the gas sector. The high importance of Russian gas supplies for ensuring Hungary's energy security was noted," the company said.
