Head of TotalEnergies expects tensions in LNG market to continue until 2026

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices will remain high in 2025-2026 as a number of major projects are delayed, said the head of TotalEnergies, Patrick Pouyanne, Report informs referring to Interfax.

“I have a positive outlook on (LNG prices) in 2025-2026. We are not naive - new projects will enter the market from 2027. I don’t say “from 2026”, because some projects will be delayed, I am sure, and these are major projects. We will see new projects in the US and Qatar that will have an impact on the market,” he said on a conference call with investors.
