It is planned to produce green fertilizer and green methanol in Azerbaijan, Rana Humbatova, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy, told an event themed "Innovative paths to a greener future: Renewable energy and emission reduction" held in Baku, Report informs.
"Long-term agreements are needed to get investors to take action on large-scale green energy projects and green corridors. In addition, financing issues must also be resolved," Humbatova said.
According to her, green products can also be manufactured in Azerbaijan: "This is not only an issue of energy security, but also of industrial security. They are interconnected. Azerbaijan will produce green fertilizers and green methanol. After meeting domestic demand, these products will be exported."
