Gazprom to suspend operation of Nord Stream

Gazprom is suspending gas transportation by the Nord Stream pipeline for three days, Report informs, citing the company's Telegram channel.

Gazprom said that the only working gas pumping aggregate, Trent 60, will be turned off on August 31 for three days of technical maintenance and planned prevention.

The company noted that the works would be carried out jointly with the Siemens specialists.

"For the period of technical maintenance of Trend 60 DLE from 31.08.2022 to 02.09.2022, the gas transportation through the Nord Stream gas pipeline will be suspended for three days," the company said.

Gazprom clarified that the technical maintenance must be held every thousand hours, in line with the technical documentation of Siemens.

Once the repair work is over, the gas transportation will be restored to the level of 33 million cubic meters daily.
