Gas prices in Europe rise by almost 4%

At the end of the last day of June, exchange gas prices in Europe stood at $1,580 per 1,000 cubic meters, and a few hours earlier, for the first time since March, they exceeded $1,600, Report informs with reference to the London Stock Exchange ICE.

The August futures on TTF, one of the world's leading trading platforms, opened the session at $1,570 per thousand cubic meters (+3.2% to Wednesday's settlement price of $1,521.9). From the first hours of trading, the quotes grew at an accelerated pace and by 15:20 (GMT +4) exceeded $1,600. The price maximum was $1,606.6 per thousand cubic meters (+5.6%). The price slowed down slightly by the close and dropped to $1,578.3 (+3.7%).
