In 2021, 23 billion standard cubic meters of gas and 4 million tons (34 million barrels) of condensate were extracted from Bravo and Alfa platforms of Shah Deniz field, Report informs referring to the joint statement of the operator of the block of fields - BP-Azerbaijan and partners for 2021.
Compared to 2020, gas production from Shah Deniz increased by 27.07%, and condensate production rose by 11.1%.
Gas supplies from the Shah Deniz field continued to the markets of Azerbaijan (JSC Azerkontrakt), Georgia (GOGC), Turkey (BOTAŞ), and BTC for numerous facilities.
The capacity of the Shah Deniz installations is 72 million standard cubic meters per day or more than 26 billion cubic meters per year.
The contract on exploration, development, and production sharing of promising areas of Shah Deniz was signed on June 4, 1996. The contract on the PSA division was ratified on October 17, 1996.
