Gary Jones: Operations with Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan pipeline will be fully restored next week

bp's pipelines and pumping stations were not seriously damaged during the devastating earthquake in Türkiye, bp's regional president Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye Gary Jones said today during the company's briefing regarding the results of 2022, Report informs.

Therefore, export operations were not suspended. Exported crude oil was collected in tanks located in Jeyhan port. The export of oil in these tanks is already underway. Operations with the Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan pipeline will fully resume next week. We will continue the negotiations with the Turkish government and keep assisting them in this tragic period."

According to him, $5 million have been allocated for the earthquake in Türkiye: "When the earthquake occurred, bp mobilized all its forces. First, the company started sending fuel to Türkiye."

He said that bp's worldwide donation channel will be opened: "The company will also support those who want to support and donate. All our thoughts and prayers are with Türkiye.”
