Expert: Bulgargaz will pay special attention to negotiations with Azerbaijan

The new management of Bulgargaz will pay special attention to negotiations with Azerbaijan, energy expert Ivan Khinovsky said, commenting on the renewal of the company's Board of Directors, Report informs via Bulgarian media.

"The new management of Bulgargaz will pay special attention to gas supply negotiations. Negotiations with Gazprom Export and Azerbaijan will take place soon," the expert said.

He stressed the importance of the natural gas supply price:

"The first month will be difficult for the new leadership, but gas prices are a matter of energy policy. There is no place for populism."

The new chairman of the Board of Directors, Ivan Topchinsky, said that gas prices could be optimized and the expected gas prices would be analyzed.

A few days ago, members of the Board of Directors of Bulgargaz Nikolai Pavlov, Svetoslav Delchev, Diana Boneva, Iliyana Dukova and Nikolai Donchev were dismissed. Ludmil Yosov has been appointed the new head of the company, and Ivan Topchinsky has been appointed chairman of the Board of Directors.
