Expansion of SOCAR's activities in Turkiye discussed

Within the framework of the visit of the delegation led by the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovshan Najaf, to Turkiye, in a meeting with the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of this country, Fatih Donmez, views were exchanged on the expansion of the company's activities in Turkiye, as well as on various topics of mutual interest, Report informs, citing SOCAR.

According to the information, at the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the friendly and brotherly relations between the countries and high-level strategic partnership. It was emphasized that the beneficial cooperation between Turkiye and Azerbaijan in all fields, including the energy field, is successfully developing.

The delegation led by Najaf visited the monument of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in the park named after the National Leader in the capital Ankara and laid flowers in front of it. Later, a meeting of the Board of Directors of SOCAR Turkiye was held. The current year's results were discussed at the meeting, and plans for 2023 were determined.

At the meeting of the Management Board of the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP), one of the important segments of the Southern Gas Corridor, which transports Azerbaijani gas to Turkiye and Europe, presentations were made about the pipeline's activity in the current year, future goals and work to be done in this direction were discussed.

The delegation of SOCAR also met with Melih Han Bilgin, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO). The meeting discussed effective cooperation between SOCAR and TPAO and current and potential cooperation prospects.
