Europe fills underground gas storage facilities by 55%

European companies have filled underground gas storage facilities by about 55%, Report informs, citing data from Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE).

Restrictions on the supply of natural gas from Russia, as well as long-term repairs at Freeport LNG, the largest liquefied natural gas plant in the United States, have not yet affected the rate of injection of this energy resource into European gas storage facilities.

The total volume of natural gas pumped into European gas storage facilities has reached about 58.3 billion cubic meters.

According to the operator Nord Stream AG, daily transportation of Russian natural gas via the North Stream pipeline is expected to be at the level of the previous days, i.e., about 64 million cubic meters.
