EC: EU replacing supplies from Russia at expense of US, Norway

The EU replaces supplies from Russia at the expense of the US and Norway, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said, Report informs.

Along with this, the EU countries continue to pump gas into underground storage facilities (UGS), she said. At the moment UGS are 90% full, she noted.

According to her, the EU is ready to discuss the price ceiling for gas used to generate electricity.

Ursula von der Leyen also noted that the European Union will intensify cooperation with NATO and the US as part of efforts to improve the security of energy infrastructure.
