The value of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan's (SOFAZ) investment portfolio as of January 1 of this year was $73.539 billion, a 22.5% increase year-on-year, Report informs referring to SOFAZ.
Some 70.4% of SOFAZ's investments ($51.772 billion) are currently held in US dollars, an increase of 3.9 percentage points compared to the previous year.
At the same time, the share of euros in the investment portfolio decreased by 3.6 percentage points to 17.5% ($10.926 billion).
During the reporting period, the share of the British pound sterling in the portfolio remained unchanged at 4.9% ($2.659 billion), the share of the Chinese yuan decreased by 1.3 percentage points to 2.2% ($11.447 billion), the share of the Japanese yen decreased by 0.1 percentage points to 1.3% ($150.938 million), and the share of other foreign currencies increased by 1.1 percentage points to 3.7% (equivalent to $2.703 billion).
