Deputy Minister: High-voltage system almost completed in Shusha

The creation of a high-voltage power system has been practically completed in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Deputy Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Soltanov said at the 66th meeting of the Working Group on Energy Supply of the Interdepartmental Center operating under the Coordination Headquarters, established to centrally resolve issues in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Report informs.

According to Soltanov, the system’s functioning is a matter of several months: "In particular, after the completion of work in the city of Lachin, a closed energy system will be formed, which will ensure stability."

Soltanov said that in the liberated territories, work in the energy sector is being carried out at an accelerated pace and with high quality.

The deputy minister noted that green energy technologies are being used in Karabakh: "Similar work will be carried out in Nakhchivan. We will apply these technologies in other regions of the country."

Touching upon the issue of gas supplies, Elnur Soltanov noted that gas would also be provided to the city of Shusha: "One of the five main gas pipelines will be directed to Shusha."
