Deputy minister: Azerbaijan's green initiatives aim at energy transition

Azerbaijan's green initiatives are aimed at energy transition within the country, as well as exporting green energy to Europe, Deputy Minister of Energy Orkhan Zeynalov said at the event "Green Path to Azerbaijan 2030" within the COP29 climate conference in Baku, Report informs.

According to Zeynalov, projects in this area are developing through international cooperation.

At the event, the deputy minister presented the country's strategic goals for transitioning to green energy and projects being implemented in this direction.

Zeynalov also participated in the event "Mediterranean Moment: Accelerating to 1 TW of Renewable Energy by 2030" within COP29, where he noted that Azerbaijan, being an initiator of green energy corridors and zones, has made progress in improving energy security and is taking serious steps to expand green energy infrastructure in the region and worldwide.
