Deputy minister: Azerbaijan focuses not only on export of natural gas but also on supply of LNG

Currently, Azerbaijan is focusing not only on natural gas exports via pipeline but also on the possibility of supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG), Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Kamal Abbasov said at the 8th meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade-Economic Relations and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Romania, held in Baku Monday, Report informs.

"Azerbaijan works with partner countries to ensure access to gas transportation routes to Europe. We consider offshore wind energy to be one of the promising fields in the use of renewable energy sources," he stressed.

According to him, the green energy produced in the Caspian Sea will be supplied to the European and regional energy markets after evaluating and studying the possibilities of their use.
