The construction of the Garadagh Solar Power Plant is expected to be completed within 12-18 months, Director of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources under the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry Tabriz Ammayev said, Report informs.
“With a total capacity of 230 MW/h, the plant will generate 500 million kW/h of electricity per year, which will provide power to 110,000 homes. The plant will also save 110 million cubic meters of gas needed to generate a similar amount of electricity and prevent the release of more than 200,000 tons of carbon into the atmosphere. New jobs are expected to be created during the construction of the project. More than 700 permanent jobs will be created during the peak period, and more than 25 during the operation of the station,” he said.
