In September 2022, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline transported 20.306 million barrels of oil through Turkiye, up 4,159,000 barrels or 25.7% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Turkish pipeline operator BOTAS.
In January-September 2022, the BTC pipeline pumped 164.380 million barrels of oil through Turkiye, a rise of 16,181,000 barrels or 10.9% from the eight months of 2021.
The BTC pipeline mainly carries oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields and condensate from Shah Deniz. Moreover, other crude oil and condensate volumes, including oil from Turkmenistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, are transported through the BTC.
