“As you know, the knowledge gained at school is not enough for the full and comprehensive development of the child. Unfortunately, in our time, books are the best way to perceive new information, video content has become the most relevant,” he said. This became the basis for this social project.
To support educational projects, BP cooperates with the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan, and many joint projects have already been implemented to date.
In turn, the head of the apparatus of the Ministry of Education Hasan Hasanli noted that the education sector in Azerbaijan has gone through such difficulties as a pandemic and the transition to distance education. He added that Azerbaijan already has sufficient experience in organizing distance education.
Education should not be limited to books alone in schools, students should also be able to develop themselves, and for this there should be the necessary content that is attractive to students, he noted.
Thus, the Ministry of Education used this project in a pilot format in 30 schools covering 3,230 students, 64 teachers and 122 classes.
Overall, the project focused on developing extra-curricular content for online lessons on career planning, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.
In addition, the project offered special training programs based on nine online interviews with successful people who have made careers in the public and private sectors. They were sent to support the Ministry of Education in the development of content for extracurricular activities on financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
The total cost of the educational project was 60,000 manats ($35,294).
