BP and partners significantly reduce social spending in Azerbaijan

In the first nine months of 2023, BP and its partners spent just $0.8 million on social investment projects in Azerbaijan, Report informs citing BP-Azerbaijan, twice as low as in the same period of 2022.

The projects funded by BP and its partners include 23 educational programs, 3 projects supporting local workforce and entrepreneurship development, 1 environmental initiative.

In addition to the joint investments, BP itself spent approximately $1 million on sponsored projects in Azerbaijan, a 25% or $0.8 million increase from the first three quarters of 2023. BP's individual sponsorships encompass 32 projects, including 20 educational programs, 1 project supporting local workforce and entrepreneurship development, and 4 environmental initiatives.
