bp and its co-venturers spend more than $1.6M on social investment projects in Azerbaijan

In the first three quarters of 2023, bp and its co-venturers in the bp-operated joint ventures spent more than $1.6 million (-$1.1 million, or 40.7%) in Azerbaijan on social investment projects, according to the business update issued by bp Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited on the results of the third quarter of 2023, Report informs.

During the third quarter, this included 11 ongoing educational projects, four programmes in support of local capacity-building and enterprise development, and one environmental initiative.

In addition, in the first three quarters, bp alone spent around $0.8 million (-$0.5 million, or 38.5%) on various social and sponsorship projects in Azerbaijan.

During the third quarter, these projects included seven ongoing educational initiatives and two conferences and workshops on various themes.
