Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli: Stabilization of production from ACG to be supported by ACE platform

It is planned to launch the support block of the new seventh platform to ACG into the sea, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, Vice-President of bp for the Caspian region, said, as quoted by Report.

According to Aslanbayli, as the megastructure is entering the period of maturity, there is a natural decrease in the level of oil production. "The commissioning of the new platform will help maintain oil output at the ACG and prevent a sharp drop in production," he said.

The construction of the ACE is currently 73% completed, and the first oil from it is expected at the end of 2023.

According to the results of the first quarter, the average daily oil production in the fields was 434,000 barrels, Aslanbayli said. Oil was produced from 137 oil wells, and reservoir pressure was maintained by water injection through 37 water and 8 gas injection wells.
