The Azerigaz Production Union of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has commenced the restoration and construction works in the natural gas supply infrastructure in the city of Khankandi, Report informs, citing Azerigaz.
After the 44-day Patriotic War, major construction works are underway in all the liberated territories. Azerigaz is also carrying out a number of necessary works regarding infrastructure reconstruction.
According to an Azerigaz official, Vasif Masimov, a total of 41,000 meters of underground gas pipelines have already been identified: "In connection with the construction and improvement works, the gas pipelines will be supplied with natural gas and the modal testing of the gas pipelines continues."
Masimov noted that the parts of the gas pipelines damaged during anti-terrorist operations were closed by welding to prevent future accidents.
