Azerbaijani minister offers creation of infrastructure to connect Southern Gas Corridor with Hungary 

Hungary has expressed its interest in purchasing natural gas from Azerbaijan. Therefore, an infrastructure connecting the Southern Gas Corridor with Hungary must be created, Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population, Co-chair of the Azerbaijani-Hungarian joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, said at a briefing after the 8th meeting of the Commission, Report informs.

“The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has announced its intention to increase supplies to European countries. The main issue here is infrastructure. Either new infrastructure must be created, or additional gas must be transported via gas pipelines in Bulgaria and Romania. Both sides have intentions,” Babayev said.
