Azerbaijani gas supply restrictions via TAP and IGB extended until August 12

Restrictions on the supply of Azerbaijani gas via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) due to preventive maintenance on a section of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) pipeline system will remain in effect until August 11 inclusive, TAP AG, the pipeline operator, told Report.

"Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG confirms that gas flows in the pipeline are currently limited due to planned maintenance activities on a section upstream of TAP, which are being carried out from August 5 and will last until August 11th, 2024 inclusive," the company clarified.

TAP AG emphasized that while the TAP system and its capacity are fully available, the ongoing planned repair work on the gas transportation system has led to a reduction in gas flows entering TAP at the Kipoi connection point on the Greece-Turkey border.

The company had previously reported that restrictions on the supply of Azerbaijani gas via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline due to preventive maintenance would be in effect until August 9.

Similar limitations will also apply to the supply of Azerbaijani gas via the Greece-Bulgaria Interconnector (IGB), covering the period from August 5 to August 11.
