Azerbaijani gas is important for the European energy market and diversification of energy supplies to Europe, Hungarian Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Péter Szijjártó said at a press conference in Baku, Report informs.
The minister also stressed the importance of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) for European countries.
"Hungary needs to receive gas from the SGC," the diplomat said, adding that the Azerbaijani gas is of particular importance to Budapest.
