Azerbaijan, UAE ink several MoUs

Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed several new documents today, Report informs.

The documents were inked on the sidelines of the groundbreaking ceremony for the Garadagh Solar Power Plant.

One of them is the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in integrated offshore renewable energy, signed by Azerbaijani Deputy Energy Minister Samir Valiyev and Chief Executive of the UAE company Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi.

In addition, the Emirati guest signed three more documents with Azerbaijani officials. These are “Memorandum of Understanding in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency” signed with Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Hijran Valehov, “Memorandum of Understanding in the field of energy production from solid waste” signed with Ulvi Mansurov, Executive Director of “Azerbaijan Investment Company” OJSC under the Ministry of Economy, “Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of renewable and clean energy in the economic regions of Karabakh and East Zangazur,” signed jointly with the Director of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Tabriz Ammayev.
