Azerbaijan to pump 170,000 tons of oil via northern route in October

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) increased oil exports via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline to 754,000 tons in January-September this year.

According to SOCAR, this is 424,000 tons or 2.3 times more than in January-September 2020, Report informs, referring to the oil major.

According to the report, SOCAR transported 754,000 tons of oil via the northern route in the first nine months of 2021: "In October, it is planned to transport 170,000 tons of crude oil via this route."

SOCAR and Transneft signed an agreement to transport over 1 million tons of oil through the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in 2021. In 2020, SOCAR transported a total of 613,290 tons of oil through this pipeline.

In 2022, SOCAR plans to transport 1.2 million tons of oil via the northern route.
