Azerbaijan to play role in resolving energy crisis in Europe

Azerbaijan will play a role in resolving the energy crisis in Europe caused by the war in Ukraine, sales director of the German company Jebsen & Jessen in the CIS countries and Turkiye Stephanie Meier-Sydow told Report.

“Because of the war in Ukraine, other countries have the opportunity to enter into this issue [of energy supplies to Europe]. As I know, there are already talks that Azerbaijan will help improve the situation that has developed in Europe today,” she said.

“Azerbaijan has great potential in renewable energy sources. As I understand it, the country’s economy plans to move from the old oil and gas economy to a new one - renewable. For Germany and European exporters, this is very important, because we export technology and would like to see Azerbaijan as our good partner,” she noted.
