Azerbaijan starts exporting electrical cables to Lebanon

In January-August 2024, Azerbaijan exported 2,000 tons of electrical cables worth $8.4 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

The exports rose by 1% in value and dropped by 5% in quantity compared to the same period in 2023.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold electrical cables:

- To Georgia: 1,018 tons (+47%) worth $3.21 million (+46%)

- To Ukraine: 641 tons (+2.1 times) worth $2.9 million (+2.2 times)

- To Russia: 14.1 tons (+9 times) worth $635,000 (+28 times)

- To Palestine: 202 tons worth 609,000 (no supplies last year)

- To Kazakhstan: 41.5 tons (+31%) worth $349,000 (+60%)

This year, for the first time in the last 13 years (note: official foreign trade statistics are publicly available since 2011), Azerbaijan exported electrical cables to Lebanon (0.04 ton worth $5,000 ).
