Azerbaijan so far exported about 12 million tons of oil condensate in 2024

According to operational data in the first half of 2024, oil-condensate production was 14.4 million tons, and export was 11.9 million tons in Azerbaijan, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said on X, Report informs.

“During this period, 12.7 bcm out of the 25.1 bcm gas produced with an increase of 4.3%, in comparison with the same period last year, was exported,” Shahbazov added.

Currently, oil produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field block and condensate produced from the Shah Deniz field are transported from Azerbaijan through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. In addition, oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan is also transported through the pipeline.

Natural gas volumes are delivered to the Turkish market through the South Caucasus Pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum) and the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP). The first gas entered the Turkish market through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline in 2007. Commercial gas transportation to Türkiye through TANAP started on June 30, 2018. Natural gas produced from the Shah Deniz field of Azerbaijan is transported to Türkiye.
